Biped 7 marked young humanoid's seventh recorded attempt at a biped, and was by far his most successful. One motor shifted the NXT intelligent brick side-to-side to tip the robot's center of gravity (COG) over one foot. Two NXT motors would then rotate the feet to propel the robot forward. The COG would then be shifted over the other foot, and the feet would be rotated in the opposite direction, moving the robot forward a step. Turning was accomplished by moving the motors in a different sequence. Although it was slow, young humanoid was quite happy with Biped 7.
